I have a bunch I wanna say about this, especially from my perspective of VO spaces right now, but before I do:
TLDR: Ben is right, and it's not even just "now."
It's just way easier to spot it now because of how connected online spaces have made us, as artists and creatives, in general.

Wikipedia fundraises basically all the time now by covering half of yout page with a donation tab and its not controversial.
FA is much smaller and supported by a much smaller community, while facing FAR MORE scrutiny for hosting adult content.

"Innocent until proven guilty" is a term intended for the court system, where a defendant isn't guilty 'til a trial finds them to be so.
It doesn't mean that you don't use your own fucking common sense & good judgment to stay away from bad people. You're not imprisoning them.

This goes for mod-makers, too. If you make mods using Claude code you are disrespecting the game you are modding.
I have always considered mod-makers to be passionate about the games they mod, and using genAI for it goes against that and just screams lazy.
