The best satire punches up, not down. To quote Terry Pratchett, "Satire is meant to ridicule power. If you are laughing at people who are hurting, it's not satire, it's bullying."

Quite funny Nigel Farage calling for a general election and claiming Andy Burnham has no mandate when he isn’t even an MP and is locked in an electoral struggle with a bin.

I think a useful task for Prevent would be to infiltrate our media and find out why so many bright-eyed young journalists eager to speak truth to power end up as reactionary establishment shills after a few years. Now there's radicalisation.

Farage resigns his seat in Clacton forcing a by election which he ... er plans to stand in.

Huge performative cost to the taxpayers to feather his ego.

I hope it backfires spectacularly

I can’t help but think that news organisations, particularly the BBC, should’ve waited to find out the content of Nigel Farage’s speech before choosing to broadcast this nonsense, using an official Reform UK live feed.

Every year for the last 20 years there has been 'no money' so wages and Public Services get frozen and cut.

But every year the rich get richer and the profits are record.

Do you really not see what is happening?

Why there is 'no money'.

Andy Burnham looks like he might cancel the NHS England contract with Palantir, they also have one worth 2.5x as much with the MoD.

RT if you want them both out of the UK.

Health Insurance doesn't cover you.

It doesn't even cover your children if they get sick.

It takes a huge amount of your money in 'insurance', then bankrupts you when you get sick anyway.

It's a con and it should be illegal.

Ban Private Healthcare.

Just like there's wealth inequality, there's also ecological inequality. Rich people get to fly around in private jets, or start up businesses pumping toxin into the environment, but the rest of us have to use paper straws or pay higher road tax because we drive diesel cars.

The multimillionaire Nigel Farage rails against climate action, while gliding from one air-conditioned building to another. He knows that he and his ilk will suffer least. But he is prepared to sacrifice everyone else to the demands of his fossil-fuelled funders. So much for "the man of the people".
