Hmm

Work in HE learning & teaching, particularly student engagement & learning analytics.

Also, love the Peak District and TTRPGs.

Mostly here for the jokes. Apologies if discussion about pedagogy is interrupted with DND jokes and vice versa.

the most predictable consequences ever:

Strikingly, every single one of the many smart glasses videos we found were captured by teen boys — and their bad behavior was overwhelmingly directed at girls.

Immensely proud to have run* today’s Robin Hood half marathon on behalf of Nottingham Refugee Forum. There is still time to donate - the charity does incredible work in the city, providing a welcoming community space, specialised advice and support to refugees

A new era for Byline Times goes to press! @peterjukes.bsky.social & I are proud to have worked on a print redesign with our new art director Sonny Dhamu. With your support, we continue to grow.

This issue marks a story no one else can/will. Two Cambridge professors. Two very different narratives...

My favourite fact about Iceland is that we have many, many crime writers but only one forensic pathologist, and he was so busy answering all of their questions that he decided to have a small seminar for writers to get some peace.

It immediately sold out so he had another one that also sold out.

Labour's stupidity around universities is driving me insane

As I keep pointing out, does no one understand Ricardian comparative advantage anymore.

FACT: China produces over 1 million engineering graduates per year

FACT: To date, China has not produced a single internationally marketable game show format

Where does it look like our advantage lies?

It's just weird isn't it when the British Museum is running a sold-out exhibition, when The Odyssey reports $1billion at the box office, when the V&A has just opened the most innovative and accessible museum model in Europe....and this is what our minister for research comes out with.
