This development in the military is deeply worrying to me.

What concerns me most is the possibility of creating a religiously oriented office that could bypass the checks and balances designed to ensure all service members are protected, regardless of their beliefs.

Trump said "I don't rule anything out" when asked about potentially invoking the Insurrection Act to place troops at polling locations (federal law makes it a crime to put armed troops at the polls).

He's going to lose the midterms, he's a desperate man, and all he's got to offer is "we'll see."

THAT SHIP HAS SAILED.

Trump can’t simply talk Americans into believing the economy is working for them. Voters are living with the reality of their jobs, bills and cost of living every single day.

People are no longer listening to him.

The bottom line is Donald Trump is the GOP's biggest liability. Especially here in Texas. Especially with the Latino vote. His strongest issue in 24, immigration, is now his greatest vulnerability. Trump makes EVERYTHING about himself, now they'll all pay the price.

How do you defeat a president who’s trying to sabotage the midterms?

1. Use drop boxes.
2. Vote EARLY in person.
3. If mailing in your ballot, put it in the mail AT LEAST two weeks before Election Day.
4. Vote in person on Election Day.
5. Share these instructions with everyone you know.

Why is MAGA suddenly enthusiastic about rewriting the history of Watergate?

They want to make post-Watergate anti-corruption reform laws go away.

If Nixon was never corrupt, those laws were never needed, and Trump and his cronies shouldn't have to abide by them.

They are planning ahead.

I’d seen several posts like this trying to explain the strange boxy bustle that sometimes appears under Trump’s jacket, and I was skeptical (largely because I didn’t think he would be coordinated enough to use it or circumspect enough to keep quiet about it) but then I saw this.

Economist analysis of more than 3,000 US counties finds that in reliably GOP counties, annual deaths now exceed births by 0.4 per 1k residents, while in reliably Democratic counties, births exceed deaths by 2.8 per 1k. Population growth in the GOP counties is largely driven by internal migration.
In MAGA-land people are dying faster than they are being born
Our analysis suggests Trump country is only growing because of migration

The decline in visitors travelling to the U.S. would have been much bigger without the World Cup this year (1.24 million international World Cup visitors). Without the World Cup, the decline in international visitors would have been 3+ million.

Visitors to the US are on track to drop by almost two million year-on-year.

“We’re the only major country in the world losing visitation,” the head of the US Travel Association said. “It’s mind-boggling.”
