On this day 62 years ago, President Lyndon Johnson signed the Civil Rights Act of 1964 into law. This landmark legislation outlawed racial segregation and discrimination in the United States. Of course, as history showed, more laws, including the Voting Rights Act a year later, were needed.

Tenth Dems had an amazing time walking in the Buffalo Grove Pride Parade with our large Democratic contingent of elected officials, candidates, and volunteers. The crowd was fired up. The atmosphere was so positive. Thanks to everyone who helped make it such a terrific experience.
