1️⃣ the best authors of libraries have 'felt the pain' and are making it better
2️⃣ the 'curse of knowledge' means authors (can) become less insightful over time
3️⃣ a lack of domain expertise IS something you have to offer

... so, contribute to address a pain you have 🙏

I think the best way to think about the Omarchy stuff is not a bunch of companies donating millions of dollars to a Linux dotfiles project. It’s a bunch of companies donating money to a political advocacy project with goals like getting minorities out of open source and eliminating the Roma.

Happy to announce a new project: OxiSH, a modern, memory-safe SSH server.

Prossimo has three criteria for suggesting memory-safe rewrites: (1) widely used, (2) on a security boundary and (3) performing a critical function. This is clearly true for SSH servers.

I just posted a blog post on my hyperbezier curve: linebender.org/blog/hyperbe...

I've actually been working on this for years, and only recently figured out a solution to the parameter mapping problem. I think this curve is potentially better than cubic Béziers for 2D vector graphic design.

Counter-intuitive VFX win: more vertices → 2× faster transparent effect.
Large empty quads waste fragment shader time. A custom mesh that hugs the actual visible content kills the invisible overdraw.
