Australians need to familiarise themselves with the term ‘social murder’. The excess deaths are not the responsibility of the jobseeker rate- it’s the politicians who keep it at a rate that *they know* causes massive harm, high morbidity, and many deaths. If they know, what does that make them?

I’m so so angry and devastated that Labor are selling off all Public Housing properties quietly. The Richmond towers are being demolished first thing next year. All the garden spaces will be destroyed. New towers built for landlords to snap up to rent out. Some put aside for “Social housing” #Auspol

Why is Labor "chasing the One Nation vote" when ON has 6 people in Federal Parliament?

The "One Nation vote" has not manifested in any serious way

What are they chasing? Are we back to the days when Kevin ruined his mandate by chasing poll numbers 2 years away from an election?

My column on how the level of Jobseeker kills people. And those running the economy for over 30 years have decided that is how it should be.

If you really hate foreigners Labor moves up from 3rd party... to... 3rd party.

But at least they've done it at the expensive of good policy and enabling racism.

zomg Open AI solving maths problem "raises profound questions" no, it does not. it is not an intelligence. it is an algorithm that used the methodology of a human mathematician to *compute* a solution. the only questions it raises are about the uncredited theft of work by others

the housing crisis. Allowing ONP to control the discussion around housing and immigration is ceding power you actually have to stop this utter shit. But then you'd have to make real policy changes and we can't have that.

Donald Trump does not understand what trade is and imagines every exchange as having a winner and loser. That’s natural: everyone except economists experiences that.

You don’t go to work because it’s a mutually beneficial exchange with your boss (though it might be). You go because you have to!

Yeah, while at the same time Burke is a) trying to outflank One Nation on the right (migration cuts are policy, but not announced for months now?) and b) runs an offshore detention regime which for billions of dollars leaves asylum seeker hungry, desperate and sometimes suicidal.
Tony Burke chastises Angus Taylor for staying silent on shocking revelations that Liberal-supporting Brethren Church members paid far-right actors & neo-Nazis to stalk and intimidate during elections.

I'm also worried about the Age & SMH coverage of abortion bans promised by One Nation & others. Their National Correspondent, Rob Harris is an active Catholic who has written in praise of an anti-choice campaigner. Will anyone else at the Channel 9 papers pursue it?
I realise this is the NSW party, but important context here for the upcoming state election in Victoria.

Maybe those journalists on the Spring St beat might consider asking these questions (and keep asking them until they get adequate answers) in the lead up to November?
Several of One Nation's leaders have expressly said they will ban all abortion for all girls & women, then 'clarified' they meant just the ones they decide should be forced to give birth. Believe them first. Believe them when they're not spinning. A One Nation vote is a vote for forced birth.
