This cycle really smells a lot like 2006 to me, though it also is different b/c there's no "Hillary vs Barak" fight waiting in the wings. This means that the next two years will be a free-for-all the likes of which we haven't seen in Dem politics since 1992? Or maybe 1976?

I suppose there will always be fear mongering, but it would be nice to think about some kind of constructive solution here. Seems like the city has enough intelligent residence to come up with something!

What if there was something like the Farmer's market as a weekly start-up space for retail, or something like that? (I'm pretty sure we could lose a farmer's market or two and barely notice, we have like three? four?) Or maybe a warehouse cut up into little shoplets? Interesting to dream of stuff.
