I doodled some more music for the #folkhorror #jrpg idea. I'm going to use all the songs I made, but I think THIS ONE is the theme song, 100% for sure.
I loved it when 60's and 70's horror films used the timpani to create dread, so I added it here

Jabberjaw - Covered with Pixie Dust
If you wanted to make a cartoon in the 70's, you needed a talking animal and some kids. Ideally they would also solve mysteries AND be in a band together. One of the many cartoons Hanna-Barbera releases in their heyday, Jabberjaw is 50 years old this month! Let's listen to a cover of the classic

Why yes, I did just pour over every 70's cop show theme song on YouTube, trying to remember which show went with the music I heard on the college oldies station when all I had to go on was 70's cop show I didn't like. (SWAT. It was SWAT.)

While the 1990 Japanese animations are dear to me (I know the theme song by heart), I hope you will have a look at the late 70's Polish stop-motion animations. Or at least the Comet Chase from 2010 which was based on those animations, and has music by Björk, and a spectacular voice cast.

I played French Horn in high school in the late 70’s, at the same time “Love’s Theme” by Barry White came out. Disco song with lots of French Horns in it and that made them cool! It’s not Mozart, but I still think it’s a great classic disco song.

The little guy in 1/3 (which, btw is - like the others - a wonderful carving) reminds me of either Lee Pomeroy (Take That band, It Bites, etc) Ian Anderson (Jethro Tull) or Bill Bailey (him off the telly). Or all three - can’t decide!

As many of you know, I really have a thing for old tv shows. I spend most of my time watching things from the 70's and 80's. I'm currently working my way through all 6 series of "Man about the House".
This has to be one of the best and jolliest theme tunes from the 1970's. I love it.
