#AFCB's
I can confirm that with luck the original Dino will be making an appearance at #afcb’s last game of the season

Liverpool go nine points clear at the top of the Premier League after a Mohamed Salah brace gives them the three points against Bournemouth.

It is #AFCB's first league defeat since November.

My earlier thread on random numbers covering #afcb's season so far
As 2024 closes what a year its been to be an #afcb supporter. The local supplier of oxygen cylinders is under strain as the Stanpit Massive experience the elevated heights of 7th in the PL.
To see in the New Year here are some numbers...

#NUFC are still yet to concede a goal on the road this season & Howe's set-up has frustrated #AFCB's game-plan.

It's also stifled #NUFC's own attack to a degree, though, & this has been a game of precious few clear-cut chances.

Strong bench can be called upon, though.

Andoni Iraola was "really, really pleased" with #afcb's performance in #BOUCRY 💪

Bournemouth doing business with Real Madrid.

Even with all of #afcb’s success, it still looks crazy in writing.

I saw someone was commenting on just how good #afcb's defence is this season. This chart shows a scatter plot of goals for vs goals against for all seasons back to the last Great Escape". The defence is not just good, in PL terms IT IS FECKIN IMPREGNABLE!

The recent Bloomberg article suggests Vitality Bill will be over here for most of January. Coincidence or on site for #afcb’s Jan window activity?
Been asked what I think #afcb's position is regarding purchases in the Jan window. As usual "It all depends..."
The following notes gives an idea of where the constraints may lie.
As always, this requires more salt than there is on the planet as it is a forecast based on a forecast!

The boss was pleased with "good signs" he saw in #afcb's pre-season win 👊

No surprise that there’s lots of heading practice for #afcb’s centre backs from Tommy & Coops

Iraola notes that #afcb's next three opponents - Wolves, Spurs, and Ipswich - are hitting their best form of the season.

Says Cherries have to be at a similar level to earn points.

Here’s an update on the impact of 2024/25 player trading on #AFCB’s P&L. No comment on the players, just the money. I’ll cover:
a) Player trading
b) P&L impact
c) Cash & debt
d) Squad cost
e) FFP impact
f) Summer window
(NB: THESE ARE SALTMINE LEVEL ESTIMATES!)

4/.
Turning to the soft cost cap control being trialled this season - Squad Cost Ratio. #afcb's SCR position is tighter (there are some very large assumptions in here as salaries are notoriously hard to pin down). However, 10% headroom (ca £15-20m) should be adequate for sensible purchasing.
