genuinely weird that qui-gon doesn’t free anakin’s mother too. “sorry, uh, galactic law means you have to be a slave”

Qui Gon Jinn should've saved Anakin's mom and then like dropped her off at the bus stop
You can't have any attachments Anakin. But I will kill her if you want

Vader looks so naked here. You can really see the similarities with Anakin's TCW mantle here.

The beachSUCKS! Lets lay on hot sand that gets everywhere & when we're miserably hot we can go float in saltwater inhabited by a bunch of shit that wants to eat you. Fucking amazing idea, should I bring a 600 lb. cooler? Hopefully there's nowhere to park so we can get a workout lugging all our shit.

re: this thread, i've always thought that the original error of the prequels as a narrative is that they are ostensibly anakin's story when they ought to be obi wan's, especially since obi wan is, as a character, perfectly positioned to star in the story nathan describes
The retcon that the Clone troopers carried Order 66 because they had brain-control chips really strikes me as emblematic of why the Prequels fail:
This should be the story of the Jedi and Republic embracing an industrialized mass-murder machine out of expediency, and where that inevitably leads.

Fact Checked by True Outer Rim Patriots:
- Qui Gon is Anakin’s dad
- Dooku was a true patriot
- Anakin and Vader are different people, and Vader was just lying to Anakin’s son at the end of ESB

Vader, seeing a powerful Force adept he could shape as an apprentice to overthrow Palpatine: “Yeah, you’re totally my son, Kenobi was lying to you, trust me on this”
Though the funnier retcon would actually be that Vader was lying to Luke to corrupt him at the end of Empire
