Tickets for going up the Forth Bridge go on sale tomorrow, limited number, limited period, in aid of Barnado’s. Absolutely amazing experience (even if you don’t get stuck at the top for an extra hour…). Don’t argue, just do it! brnw.ch/Yourview1

I’ll be honest, Wavertree Barnado’s was not where I expected to find the Swedish ‘69 entry.

Lowe was chairman for this episode, where Barnado's could find nothing of any response or discussion of the TV programme, nor the " highly significant move" by Hampshire and Southampton children's services, about the club's ex-employee, still working with children, after a conviction in the US

Epic win of 2 large IKEA bags full of clothes taken to Barnado's.
Somewhat epic fail of going to the big Tesco next door having not eaten anything today, and therefore shopping hungry.

It was so nice to spend time with my mate yesterday. All we did was gabble and eat. Then went to look at the charity shops. At one point we mislaid each other. I texted “I’m in Barnado’s” but autocorrect changed it to “I’m in Barbados.” Chance’d be a fine thing.

I’ve spent the weekend in that liminal space between being well & being properly unwell that is being *not 100%*.

Anyway, made up for it with a storming #charityshopmonday haul

We didn't know about that side of the family (my gran had been dumped in a Barnado's home then brought up by her aunts) but it was quite weird that when I tried scriptwriting at university, something properly clicked and I though 'hey, this feels weirdly natural', then a decade later...

@marcusbrig.bsky.social I'd say you're famous enough 😉 so I made a donation to Barnado's

Went in to town to donate an amplifier and guitar bag to Barnado’s. Bloke greeted me with “Hello Mate I haven’t seen you in ages!” It was nearly 6 years ago. I made a slight dent in Worcester 😭

I almost exclusively read books that turn up in charity books, which, perhaps surprisingly, are not always mainstream. It does depend which one you shop in. There is a long way between what is in an Oxfam bookshop and what is in Barnado's, let alone a hospice charity shop.

Ah, the bothy on the North Queensferry side. Had a welcome brew in there along with a Tunnocks teacake during the Barnado's charity bridge climb.

We found eclipse glasses in our local Barnado's charity shop. Also larger round filters for use with phone cameras
