Okay so when I moved into this house I intended to befriend the local crows. I have given the crows everything, and they do not give a fuck and don't wanna be friends.
The black vultures, however, have now formed a colony which hangs around my house and they keep bringing friends.

My morning shift was clear-skied with that low Autumn sunlight, a strong breeze that caught the falling leaves in miniature twisters, and visits from turkey vultures, crows, and a migrating heron. I could hardly ask for a prettier Halloween.

Different take on #BirdOfTheDay ... rather than an avian friend with food, how about this crowd. Crows or starlings? Nope - a hungry #lunchtime committee of black vultures gathered atop the generating building of a local dam.

There were vultures everywhere yesterday! Flying across the sky in a big flock, moving more like a group of crows. Squabbling by the side of the road, hanging out in a tree above my car. Clearly there was a scavenger convention!
