Very demonstrative. Thatcher had gone ballistic after she had tried to prevent MPs from seeing my banned film on Zircon. Five years afo GCHQ's official historian Tony Comer said, on the record, that the Zircon affair trigerred a complete change in internal culture and accountability.
I was once proud of the BBC especially when Thatcher sent special branch and MI5 into BBC Scotland's Queen Margaret Drive offices.
