Oh my goodness! I absolutely loved Hamnet. But, wooooh, the stuff around Hamnet's death was hard. I came close to having to leave the cinema - Agnes's raw grief at her son's death was very close to home.
But what a wonderful film. And how clever that child/young adult Hamnet were played by brothers.

The crying game: what Hamnet’s grief-porn debate says about women, cinema – and enormous hawks
Hamnet and H Is for Hawk fuse themes of loss, birds and elemental female emotion. But whose fault is it if you remain dry-eyed?

I liked Hamnet’s adamantium skeleton and retractable claws but I would have made him at least six feet tall so the audience knows he does good on the dating apps too

lots of good things about ONE BATTLE AFTER ANOTHER but selfishly, as a petty hating bitch, i am thankful it has single handedly tanked Hamnet's chances of sweeping the oscars
