Log out of LinkedIn and test if it shows the content from elsewhere. I find that even LinkedIn's public profile URL forces log in

Sudden realization: ATproto self-verification and @sifa.id could solve the fake recruiter spam problem.

You don't care if Totally Honest Joe passed LinkedIn's terrible human verification process — you care that they work where they say they do.

An HR-specific recruiting subdomain gets you that.

Found this on a website for BAMF, apparently a group that helps "founders" do brand-building stuff

I can see it logged out, but LinkedIn’s notoriously about that sort of thing. I suspect they’ve built some randomness into whether they show public content or not.

LinkedIn's B2B Institute says about 95% of your potential buyers aren't in the market right now.

Lead Gen Forms catch the 5%. Founder content is how the other 95% remember you.

Which to start with, and when to run both:

Waxing poetic about LinkedIn's wax museum? My first 100 users came from replying to 50 strangers' posts with actual advice, no pitch.

sometimes I'm tempted to decloak at work, especially with the upcoming GOP shit kicking, but then they'd parade me around as a progressive workplace trophy and I'd have to do whatever linkedin's version of tiktoks is on pride month and I simply cannot be arsed

Happy birthday, Karamo Brown!

In a 2020 conversation with LinkedIn’s Andrew Seaman, Brown reflected on what Pride means beyond celebrations.

“It's about asking people to be empathetic to our experiences and to understand what we're going through so you can join our fight.”

The 3 parts behind LinkedIn outreach:

1. Targeting: don't burn all your 400 requests per month for nothing. Be super specific

2. DMs: exactly two, then stop.

3. Setup: day-by-day timing, sequencing, and daily limits that keep you off LinkedIn's blacklist

Start with targeting.
