First PA job years ago, I reminded my boss to shortlist a pile of CVs on his desk. He lifted a bunch off the top and put them in the bin. "They're unlucky. We don't want unlucky people here" he said. I wish I'd spoken up as the "lucky" guy we hired was fucking awful.

Preach. It’s kinda insane how accurate the low beams are on my 2022 vehicle, like I see the Jersey barrier and nothing above it. But that lifted Ram 3500 half mile back is shining directly at or above my rear view - only lucky the ”off-road” light bar isn’t also in the mix…

He was so brave and tried so hard until the very end, when he could barely walk. He fell and tried to get up back up every time. I would have lifted him up from the ground another million times if I could. I was so lucky to share half of my life with him.

Five years ago today I was in labor, (in a mask). I was lucky that by then, Covid partner restrictions were lifted and my husband & doula were allowed to be with me.
I am forever grateful to the L&D team at Mt. Sinai West, the hospital where nurses famously wore trash bags for PPE. Heroes.

Yesterday, wellbeck missed an open goal, a penalty and they hit the post twice. I didn't realise how lucky we were. They'd have gone in at goodison. The curse has been lifted. 😀

Photo a Day 2026 - Day 75: The mountain came out in time to be my photo of the day! Mt. Rainier can spend days/weeks shrouded in clouds so it can't be seen on the horizon. But I was lucky and this afternoon near sunset, the clouds lifted and the mountain came out! Special Seattle treat. #photoaday

I had a perfect birthday: snuggled with Loomis in the morning, lifted weights with Tom in the afternoon, went to a nice omakase dinner that blew me away!!! Drew Simpsons with my friends, got late night fries and watched Taskmaster. Gorgeous weather. I am very lucky!

chronic illness is weird because sometimes if you're really lucky you get these little gaps where suddenly it's like the fog has lifted and you remember things you love, who you are, what you want.
