Tomorrow is World #Tessellation Day (and MCEscher's birthday). I usually try to do a tessellation round up post, if you have one or more you want to send my way!

Mistigram: this double-wide monochrome #teletext screen by AtonalOsprey reproduces #MCEscher's 1956 lithograph #BondOfUnion, showing the heads of a man and woman formed entirely by a single thin coiled strip of mutual essence. It was included in the unthemed MIST0624 artpack released two years ago.
Two people were unwound like a peeled orange, then their peels were joined at the ends, then they were drawn in black and white teletext semigraphics.

Mistigram: this #ANSIart take on #MCEscher's 1935 lithograph #HandWithReflectingSphere (or #SelfPortraitInSphericalMirror) was drawn by @axbmusic.
A spiky-haired man contemplates a reflective orb held in the palm of his hand, recently removed from a padded box. Gazing into its surface, he reproduces what he sees therein -- himself and the furniture in the room in which he sits, curved as though viewed through a fish bowl -- using a computer keyboard.
