Mum was also on duolingo. She would complain to me on the phone that dad kept nagging her to keep her streak..
When she got ill he was doing her Duolingo for her, to keep her streak. And he carried on after she died. Weird coping mechanism I guess. But, like, she can’t even rest from it now?

My Dad took us to The Alamo as kids. He was absolutely over the moon.
I however, was more excited at the firehouse opposite. My mum walked me over and I got a tour and sat in the truck cab. One of the lads took me down the pole (fnaar etcetc). One of the best days of my childhood.

It’s pretty domestic at Villa Dellamorte. Aria will be Lucanis’s sous chef, bathtime/story/bed for Mila, then Mum and Dad debrief on their days over coffee or wine. With the occasional date night sprinkled in. (If that sounds boring, Aria loves domestic boring. It’s security she didn’t get as a kid)
