i am one person in a 350sq ft apartment with an electric dryer and my electric bill for august was $240 (partly offset by an emergency $50 payment from the NJ state gov't). Last month was $220. and I keep my place at 76 most days! (repost to fix typo)

bluesky's fine i guess but these days i'm mostly posting on utility web sites. PSE&G, American Water, etc.

We saved our apartment building from blowing up. We could smell gas in our hallway and called 911/PSE&G.
They came super fast and quickly identified a recently vacant apartment had the gas stove on for who knows how long. 😰
Firemen broke the door since our maintenance team is useless.

I'm hearing people in New Jersey saying that since the PSE&G rate hike on July 1`, they are getting electricity bills of like $1,000 a month. They reckon their electricity bill has tripled.

And we're finally *completely* back. Gas was turned on after 5, and once the PSE&G guy came by, checked the stove and approved everything, we went and got the cats, who are mostly back to normal At Home status.
