I went to a charity-benefit screening of Up at Pixar's studios. I was not prepared. I think I started to cry at that shot of Ellie and Carl in the obgyn's office, and just kinda didn't stop for a while, so there I was, ugly-crying in Pixar's screening room without even a Kleenex to my name. oops. ;)

i'm gonna be so fr i do think i prefer both of pixar's films from this year over it. mostly from a tonal perspective. i don't think it helps that the story structure of forgotten island started feeling a littttle familiar. not enough to dock points but enough for me to notice

Finally saw Pixar's Soul, and dang it got me all teary eyed at the end. Really good fun movie, and that message. Ahh, so nice.

Disney layoffs where AI can be implemented to do the job instead is true btw, but up the count to around ~1100 jobs instead. Deadline didn’t pull it out of nowhere. This is what we already assumed ourselves: a separate layer of another round of Disney layoffs that is coming.
