#Plagues&People
Sir, the other party poisoned our water, brought multiple plagues unto our houses, and shot people in the street.
We can kumbaya later, consequences must happen first.

If people worried about natural disasters, they'd never live around there. Earthquakes, volcanoes, tsunamis, typhoons, invaders, plagues...

This! Do you know how many people are not here anymore GLOBALLY bc of them folks? That after the news moved on they were still randomly executing people in the Caribbean? The plagues coming back directly related to the loss of USAID? Nah. We are divided. Bc some of us need to be brought to justice.
I’m so tired of this stale tired old centrist Dem line about “bringing people together” and “not dividing us”

These people are trying to mass murder us!!!!

This moment is not about making buddies!

Our leaders gotta move on from this meaningless soundbite rhetoric.

as a Paw Guy but not a Foot Guy this plagues me constantly, mostly because of how many people (in irl nudes, not art mostly) post feet pics and say they are “showing paws.” feet people i love you but that is not a paw.

Oh absolutely. I honestly think it dovetails with the kind of antisemitic conspiracism that plagues the left, because believing that some shadowy evildoers are stealing everything from everyone… just kinda primes people for that.

Why have cats forever been associated with witches? The science is simple, even if the rage associated with burning so-called 'witches' who survived plagues in medieval times wasn't. Many of the plagues spread from fleas who bit people after coming into contact with infected

For clarity the one I thought would be cool if it did pass stops the government from ordering churches and religious gatherings during plagues and emergencies. I just think churches gathering during plagues would be good for demographic change, unfortunately people believe in public health ig.

the victorian era, the medieval ages: the plagues, the diseases, the accidents, the grief, the harsh weather… it is truly amazing that that resulted in 8 billion people alive today.

Why is the US Army in NC practicing digging mass graves that will hold up the 2,400 people in 24 hours? Second part called Operating Dragon Covenant. Are we preparing for ground war in US, massive plagues or just planning on murdering Americans like Nazi Germany 🤷‍♀️

The LAX people mover fiasco is an extreme example of the problem of inadequate state capacity that plagues projects up and down the state. When an agency with no transit experience has to manage a complex project and outsources everything to consultants, things go wrong and delays are hard to avoid.

I wish more people would deviate from that boomerism passive acceptance shit that plagues society so much, same for people that don't give a shit about problems until it affects themselves. Or blame people for only doing small steps instead of sprinting all the way through.

The movie definitely suffers from the “I’m not sure all these people were on the set at the same time” problem that seems to plagues modern movies but it’s a fine enough watch.

The last few years has convinced me that a very rotten mental condition plagues a growing number of people in this country. And we are all suffering from its effects. We can treat many health conditions; why can't we fix this?
I'm not sure what's worse: the former or the latter.
Good God, RFK Jr is DOUBLING DOWN on the extreme & vile racism—even some of his GOP colleagues denounced it!

He really is an evil shit stain
RFK just doubled down on this racist argument with a ridiculously long and clearly AI-generated history lesson on X, illustrated by this chart comparing the number of Jewish Nobel winners to Muslims. JFC dude, leave us out of your bigoted bullshit.

i hate ai, i hate fandom chat bots, i hate the wave of anti-intellectualism, capitalist consumerism that plagues fandom, i hate being treated like a machine that needs to be faster, better, more consistent, i hate when fandom becomes a popularity contest full of people who can't share their toys

Because when it came out everything was nuclear war.

Now we have other fun things like plagues, natural and man-made.

how far do we want to put it in the future? 500? 5000?

Maybe the city is starting to break down which is why people are trying to find a way out beyond the 30 years.

The party of corruption,
That plagues society,
Turns away from the people,
In support of a nazi,
He's awarded contracts,
Then kicks back a few bucks,
His fortune is furnished,
By state and federal governments.

I’ll vote for him because the alternative is irredeemable garbage. But this statement reveals the essence of narcissism that plagues our democratic politics. What he has done has been dependent on his own stages in life, not the needs of the people he serves. Let’s have a real primary in 2030.

The Toy Story films will always be far superior to the AI slop that plagues the internet now, due to the heart, humanity, humour and hard graft that went into them. So with the recent arrival of the 5th film, I thought I would review them all. Here's my look at the first two.
Toy Story Reviews – Films 1-2
Forget all the soulless AI slop that plagues the internet now. If you want impressive computer animation that has true love and extensive creativity put into it by supremely talented and hard working people, I defy you to do better than the Toy Story films. It's been over 30 years since the first one warmed our hearts with its stunning visuals, wonderful characters, entertaining storyline, great humour and uplifting music.

Turn-based RPGs are in demand, but some find turn-based games too conflict-focused. Meanwhile, digital art anxiety plagues creators, making it tough to enjoy their work. People are frustrated with long wait times for medical appointments and crypto-related issues.
