I’m sure Rumbleverse’s premature death really hurt them, and expanding to Nashville in 2024 couldn’t have helped.

Add the final touch of being able to destroy buildings and parts of the environment- some kinda Twisted Metal style level-lution- and you’ve made maybe the best ever giant monster video game in history built off of Rumbleverse’s corpse.

as integral as the visuals were to rumbleverse's overall tone, its character designs ended up being a major detractor to alot of would-be players

plus, said tone reminded me of how a lot of slapstick cartoons feature funny animal characters, so i felt that making the characters funny animals-

Also, word to KOF fans that are somehow still ass mad about the 2022 Game Awards, that means yall too. KOFXV recently got two more characters, a balance patch & is still going. Further proof these awards dont matter THAT much.

should be said, i liked rumbleverse's idea well enough to sign up for and participate in the prelaunch testing. it was cool. that first battlepass looked rough as shit and the playercounts felt higher in testing than they ever did on release. shame, it was really something different in the br space
