The project to renovate #SalemMA’s Fire Station 2, to ensure it can operate safely and efficiently for generations more to come, is now complete and the station officially reopened this morning!

Memorial Day weekend began today with the 2nd Cavalry Global Celebration.

This year the event marked the 190th of the regiment, but it also carried a special meaning for our community, as #SalemMA’s own Sgt James Ayube II (KIA 12/8/10) of the 2nd Cav. Honored to be with his Gold Star family today.

Mary Cardillo is 103 and has incredible stories to share. From her time at GE during WWII to her work at the Chamber of Commerce when Haunted Happenings was starting, Mary exemplifies the love of Salem that makes our city so special.

Hooray for play!

Today we cut the ribbon on the new pre-K/K playground at #SalemMA’s Bates School! This refurbished space for outdoor play and recreation will serve Bates’ youngest for generations. We were a Bates family for the last decade & I’m thrilled to see this upgraded playground open today!

The Dickson Chapel is a remarkable landmark in the historic landscape of #SalemMA’s Greenlawn Cemetery. This restoration work is an important step forward to return the 134 year old building to its original grandeur & reopen it to the public on a more regular basis.

The City-owned Mack Park Farm produces tons of healthy produce each season - and we give it away every other Saturday through October!

Fantastic art & food tour by the North Shore CDC’s Punto Urban Art Museum today!

PUAM features over 75 murals throughout #SalemMA’s Point neighborhood, which enliven our city. Today’s tour also highlighted new indoor murals being painted right now in several Point eateries.
