Latest volume of #SamKydd's memoirs from @jonathankydd.bsky.social tell how the role of ORLANDO in CRANE came as a result of #RoddyMcMillan's mishap - and this 1963 news report reveals that Orlando's iconic woolly hat was inherited from Roddy's location filming!
Sam Kydd Memoirs volume 3 The four stars of "Crane" are Patrick Allen, Gerald Flood, Roddy McMillan and Laya Raki. Sam Kydd reveals that he inherited the woolly hat he wears in CRANE. "Roddy McMillan, who was to have played Orlando, was injured after some long-distance shots had been taken. Same took over and he had to wear the hat because it had been worn in the shots already taken." Annual for the ORLANDO TV series - with that iconic hat.
