If you want to try to restrain a feral cat to try to scan for a chip you go right ahead ma'am please post the video of how it goes. 🩸
Can’t they be chipped when neutered? Then you would just have to use a portable scanner.
If they don't tip the ears they have no way of knowing which cats have been fixed. Needing to repeatedly trap and sedate millions of feral/stray cats to look closer for signs of neutering would be an indescribably massive waste of time and resources, not to mention unnecessary stress for the cats.

Online age verification is not like "showing ID to buy alcohol" because
a) the liquor store doesn't get to scan your ID and store a digital copy of it forever in a database that will inevitably get hacked
b) you don't have to show ID to go to the library because they have cocktail recipe books

When I go to the Sainsbury's self checkout I scan my Nectar card then scan my shopping and pay, then just before I leave I scan my Nectar card again for the next person. They might get some Nectar card prices on some items and I get some extra points. Win win.

So good news this morning. CT scan shows wife's tumor has shrunk by about 25%. Metastases are also smaller. Still a long way to go but we'll take it.

Had a guy tell me it is his constitutional right to not have me scan his full bank statement for address proof (which anything we scan has to be fully unfolded).
I told him to go get his vehicle registration then. You didn’t have to bring something with sensitive info.🤷🏻♀️
