The Feature that were supposed to start testing today was not properly done. They only updated the tables and not the data. The get out for the Dev was that backlog stated only information on the tables and no mention of the running a script to update the data.

Finally having my annual 1-1 today with my LM ( That's if he isn't dragged off for one of those project crisis meetings). I have half an hour to reflect on what happened last year ( a lot of What The F-) and explain what I want do this year, then not doing it cos I'm busy.

Fookin' love it when comps spend wads on test management tools and then everyone uses spreadsheets cuz no one has told people how to use said tool correctly. been seconded to a team that no fault of their own has had to do this because of the utter mess of the backlogs.

I am in the process of trying to get access to something and I am now being bounced from one person to next. Everytime I go to the next person I have tell the whole story again. The joys of working in IT/Software in 2026, it's akin to a knight on mediaeval quest.
