It's day 2 of @sortedfood's #backtotheiroldschool live, and the boys start out with a great improv jam session by Michael and The Huttlestorms (including Big Trumpet man himself, Jamie!)
Kush & James are cooking as well (to make up for Mike's Dream Menu) so loads of family & friends come around.
Ben, Jamie, Mike, & Baz open io thr beginning of day 2 of the live show in the lockers hallway. It's Michael & The Huttlestorms! Mike opens up the first format of the show on stage alongside Kush & James in the kitchen, and #BigTrumpet Jamie seated beside them with the audience comments. It's Improv Jam, and Mike & Jamie are tasked to create an improvised song with a few samples, lyrics from the chat, and Mike's acoustic guitar & Jamie's bass & B Flat trumpet! Mike takes a few samples of sounds from Kush & James in the kitchen, including James smacking a whisk against his hand and the worktop to be used as drum beats. A few key phrases, such as "Where's the Dish?", "Moist," and a handful of other noises are taken to hopefully be incorporated into the mix. Later on, Barry gets a bit too zealous with the smoke machine and causes the fire alarm to go off, but Mike even takes a sample of that to use! With Kush & James finishing a lovely smatter of dishes for the whole team earlier than expected (hoping to make up for Mike's Dream Menu flub from the channel, mind you,) a bunch of the team gather round to enjoy the delicious food, including some family that are there for the weekend! (Namely, Jamie's wife Lucy & their kids, and Barry's wife Hayley.) To end the segment, Mike & Jamie play the (rushed) song thay have put together along with lyrical help from the chat. A wonderful performance of Mike on guitar and vocals, with Jamie on bass & a trumpet "solo!"😂

It's the end of SortedFood's Traitor at #CulinaryCastle live weekend show, and the fun never really stopped! There was even MORE fun props/costumes, games/challenges, and loads of laughter.

Barry & Mike are braving the cold outside to welcome us to day 2 of the weekend! With ornaments on the trees, the castle grounds are looking more and more wintry. Jamie helps kick off the show with a 5 Minute Mayhem challenge, but James & Ben have to work together... literally! They're shackled together at one wrist (dominant hand) and have to create a dish out of mystery ingredients. Kush has several things going on during his Unleashed cooking segment, so he brought along an old friend... It's Pumpy! Pumpy is placed quite deliberately under some tape on a laptop labeled as "Host." Mike & James were there to help out and enjoy Kush's cooking (on the Volcanus grill, mind you,) and created 4 stonking dishes to share with the whole crew!

Not a cookbook recommendation, but there's SORTEDfood's (paid) Sidekick app: weekly recipe selections, shopping lists, and step-by-step guidance through the recipes (for cooking "normals" rather than "chefs"). I haven't used it myself, but I've been a fan of their YouTube channel for years.
