Sad news for Splatoon 4 truthers, OOT's remake codename was Owl all along. We will probably never know why it had references to Splatoon's internal vote system related to splatfests unless there are traces of it left in the files (I can't dump my Switch 2 rn, I need to get Civ 7 asap)

Only thing I can truly think of is that we have NOT seen people, and the geiger counter going off. It also feels like something that could be possible considering Splatoon's setting, but Splatoon makes it pretty explicit... hm

I feel like splatoon's shooter game design is so unique that it can kind of, transcend being a shooter entirely and be like, an action RPG or a platformer when it feels like it and it wouldn't even feel incorrect in the slightest
like it can just attach itself onto another genre and work
