Stirchley’s MP here folks.
We should never stop being startled by how much the UK's nominal left party is committed to killing Irish people with impunity.

Al Carns, buddy, the entire point of the GFA is to ensure there is a political, nonviolent path to what the IRA were trying to achieve. what do you think happens if you take that away?

My joint nearest station! The name was chosen by a public vote. Pineapple Road gets its name from the former Pineapple Farm, shown on old maps as "Pine Apple" which meant a pine cone rather than the fruit. Still, tourists are welcome to come and search for Stirchley's pineapple plantations.

First visit to Stirchley's fantastic new cafe/bar The Den. The full English breakfast was superb, especially the corned beef bon bons. Washed down with a lively pineapple radler. Great menu with plenty of variety and a great drinks list.

In 2025 McDonald's were forced to scrap its plans to build a drive-thru in Stirchley when local residents fought back, defending Stirchley’s independent vibe & opposing increased congestion, pollution, litter & noise.

Now the clown is trying it's luck again.

Heartened by the way that regular Birmingham people like anti-flaggers Brum Together keep coming together with each outbreak of flag measles from far-right tools Raise the Colours.

They've taken on Moseley's massively diverse community this time.
And we have the experience of Stirchley's stalwarts.

Caneat (one of the drivers of Stirchley’s reinvention) has announced they’re closing. i’m worried this monstrous betrayal and landgrab will bankrupt Loaf. This is why Brum can’t have (or keep) nice things. Allowing Digbeth to collapse, now this…

Very quiet one today. Just been for a walk and ended up at Stirchley’s Wildcat.

He’s either extremely thick or being deliberately obtuse to rouse the ignorant people who think he’s a hero.
I’ll go with a lot of both. Stirchley’s finest export NOT!!!

The Guardian exposes the collapse of Stirchley’s community housing in Birmingham. GSA is withholding ownership from locals over a £1.16m cost dispute, leaving people homeless. Corporate housing rules crush community models. As locals said: "The soul's been ripped out.

Libraries are local treasures—much more than books, they offer a true space for learning and social connection. Seeing the mobilization to keep Stirchley's open every Saturday is moving.
Thank you, Dave, for highlighting this cause. It truly deserves support! 📚

@dracos.co.uk have you seen The Woodland Games are taking nominations for Stirchley’s best tree? If you want me to submit an entry on your behalf let me know (I can take a good guess at which tree!) I think they’re only posting on Instagram and I’m not sure you’re on there.

Well, right on the Stirchley / Bournville border. When you come out of the station exit opposite, you see the clear distinction of the left-turn Stirchley's, and the right-turn Bournville's. I remember walking behind a bunch of office workers and a bloke with a unicycle. They all turned as expected.

Absolutely. Birmingham City Council must say a massive NO to McDonalds in Stirchley If York Council can turn down McDonald's so should Birmingham. Keep Stirchley's independent vibe.
