Sen. Ossoff: Folks are going to the grocery store. They're paying more than ever to stock their fridge. Ground beef is up 30% since Trump took office. Coffee is up 30% since rump took office. Those were your votes, Mike. I think that you should explain to Georgia voters why you voted for the tariffs

Tariffs pushed ground beef to a record over $7 a pound and coffee past $9. Yale Budget Lab still sees food prices elevated even after some exemptions. The cup and the steak both came with a surcharge. #RepublicanAffordabilityCrisis

Tariffs cause consumers to avoid $5-$7 cups of coffee along with boycotts!
October 12, 2026 at 1:31 AM
I don’t think it has anything to do with boycotts, I think the fact that coffee prices are now astronomically high because of Trump & his tariffs, people can no longer afford to spend $7 on a small cup of coffee. I’m sorry, this is Starbucks …they can’t afford to spend $7 on a “tall” cup of coffee.

When IQ45-47 talked about the tariffs in 2025 (before implementation), I started with coffee, canned legumes, rice & pasta. I've been starting again, little by little. Miss Aja, you have been saying this for quite a while. Please listen to her!!💜

That year the Trump administration placed tariffs of up to 50% on a wide range of Brazilian goods and openly tied the move to the prosecution of Jair Bolsonaro. Later in the year it exempted products such as coffee and beef.

the coffee price increase really pisses me off because that's only grown in specific parts of the world where our current fuckhead in chief decided to impose high tariffs so now we have $6 coffees for no reason
