#Tarrytown's
Seeing all the solar panels covering Tarrytown's town hall roof made me hope anyone who goes green is not going back despite the mad wannabe king. People are literally empowered with alternative energy.

Tarrytown's "leaders" are removing bike share vehicles for the weekend for "safety" during the Halloween Parade. 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️ Sleepy Hollow's Bikes will remain. (Will be cool for folks to move some bikes from SH docks to the TT train station dock.) projectmoverbikeshare.com

Congrats to Tarrytown on this new bike/ped bridge! riverjournalonline.com/news/tarryto...

Pet peeve for construction coverage is that this seems to say the bridge itself was $13.9 million, but the project also included a second left turn lane, widened thruway ramps, a water main and other costs

Visited the Historical Society yesterday to look at Orchard St maps and photos. (Was Tarrytown's downtown, but was ripped out, urban renewal. Now Walgreens is in the spot.) Livable Tarrytowns putting together displays to excite people to redone area to bring back Orchard St!

Yeah, basically, although I don't think Tarrytown's model holds up for a whole game. Pokopia has nicely prefabbed buildings for people like me who just want something nicely prebuilt, so that option would be nice. Also help people build infrastructure, explore the tech a bit.

Tarrytown's downtown was the best. But Ossining (of the prison fame), and Peekskill even more so, but it's much more north, are gentrifying. There's not much in Hastings/Dobbs Ferry/Irvington, and even less elsewhere, although there's some nice old Dutch mansions.

Gilded Mansions by Day, Vineyard Sunsets by Night — A 3-Day Hudson Valley Road Trip
A 3-day self-drive loop through New York's Hudson Valley — Tarrytown's Lyndhurst Mansion and Sleepy Hollow Cemetery, Hyde Park's FDR Presidential Library and the Vanderbilt Mansion, a meal at the Culinary Institute of America, and a finish among Millbrook's vineyards and the Walkway Over the Hudson — with real hotels, restaurants, and 2026 prices for every stop.
