Thus might get me eaten alive (not a bad way to go tbh) but Typescript is wholly unneeded if you’re a competent programmer and is only another part of WebDev’s reliance on NPM packages and bloating projects.

It's easy en dash are for numbers, dates
Em dash are for everything else

i cannot overstate how deeply i loathe modern webdev's addiction to frameworks and how much effort i'm willing to dispense to keep those frameworks -- intended to ensure there's enough work to go around on large dev teams -- away from my fucking codebase.
this API isn't used much in the era of Big Framework.
my strategy:
- render calls dispatch a custom event
- AppBootstrap intercepts sets its InnerHTML to appScope.render()
doing this kicks React out of this project, and minimizes my dependence on other people's code.
