Small businesses & shops are the soul of our communities but are often difficult to build in #yyc. #yyccc's rules are holding them back. Here’s my plan to help them thrive. 🧵

Not sure if battery safety of e-mobility is in #yyccc's wheelhouse but there is growing misinformation about battery fires and it is already causing building managers to ban people from bringing e-bikes inside. Hurts bike sales too.

We're learning that $129 million in $ for #yyc has been paused due to #yyccc's intention to repeal blanket rezoning. Cllr Dan McLean says he was misled, but requirements are pretty clear. Some form of rezoning is needed. Mayor Farkas should try to replace, not repeal.
