black and white comic splash page from FiSHSKiN, featuring Emil sitting infront of a small campfire, the moon over head. In a black speech bubble they say "Yup! I'm afraid you're stuck with me."

"Bi'aacohe"
One of my favourite sequences that explains that protagonist does not equal hero.

A black and white comic page from FiSHSKiN. The hunter is talking to a masked person in a foreign language. Emil notices that they're slowly being surrounded by black wolf-like creatures with glowing grinning faces, and as they are briefly distracted the masked person rushes forward with a large bloody odd-shaped knife A black and white comic page from FiSHSKiN. The masked person swipes at the hunter who swings the butt of his rifle back into the attacker's face, cracking their mask. Darcy the dog is instructed to grab the attacker's bag as Emil lunges for their dropped knife. A black and white comic page from FiSHSKiN. Darcy yanks the attacker's bag off their body which snaps their mask off, revealing a bloodied old woman with spider legs crawling out of her eye socket. Emil is reminded of the gored face of a victim from earlier. The hunter demands that they leave immediately, turning one last time to the downed attacker and saying a foreign phrase to her. We see in the final panel that Emil is paused, holding the knife, with the wolf creatures lurking behind them. A black and white comic page from FiSHSKiN. The hunter and Darcy run off as Emil stands over the woman who had just tried to attack them. Emil simply throws the knife onto the ground infront of the woman, knowing full well that she will not survive against the encroaching wolf-creatures. They simply repeat the foreign word that the hunter had said, as we see the wolf-creatures approach. One of the creatures has their paw regrow, followed by a black panel with cartoonish sharp fangs implying the woman was attacked.
