i know you are using an example and I understand that it is not literal, but don't you maybe think that comparing intersex people, a real group of people who are othered and dehumanized by society, to animals is kind of hurtful

The Ottawa Humane Society (OHS) typically cares for over 300 cats at any given time (with total animals in care fluctuating around 440 depending on the season.

I never understood the differentiation people make. We're basically herd animals who live highly dependent on each other and the society we create. Politics concerns decisions and rulesets of that society. You need to become a hermit to "not be political".
