I don’t watch the Colbert CBS show, just not a fan of it generally, but when Colbert has a dorky love of Lord of the Rings, its endearing because it’s an actual human emotion we all share about our own things. one of my favourite things about who I am as a person is that people who watch lord of the rings will randomly message me "puppy!!!" to let me know they just saw the Balrog (so that I can also be happy about the Balrog)
