Again, AI companies can slow down without waiting for regulation. Releasing models without adequate safeguards is a choice, not an inevitability.

“Someone should make us stop” is a strange position for the people with their foot on the gas.

They could just… not do it. Or turn it off. Deploying AI tools in uncontrolled ways is a choice. The risks tech companies keep struggling to “manage” are risks they choose to create.
