NEW: The Railways Bill must secure public ownership of rolling stock.

BREAKING: Chiltern Railways comes into public ownership TODAY

This is wonderful news. But let's be clear: public ownership of train operating companies is a powerful first step, but it's ONLY a first step

We must end rolling stock privatisation, outsourcing of station services and cut fares.

Railways should be 💯 publicly owned
🚄 owned by the public
🚄 run for the public
"The Railways Bill could allow companies within Great British Railways to have private shareholders...

These companies could carry out any GBR function - even train operations or infrastructure management...

We shouldn't be creating a back door that allows privatisation to creep in."
