Has anybody written the piece about how movies like Heart of the Beast and Good Dog now have to pre-announce "It's ok, audiences, the dog doesn't die!" Huge cultural shift from just 10-15 yrs ago when audiences who--I promise--LOVED DOGS JUST AS MUCH were perfectly fine with Marley & Me or whatever?

My favorite ever bestest boy turned 15 today 🥳 He's an Aussie cattle dog mutt according to the DNA test. And I know we're on borrowed time so... Dude got doggie meatballs & salmon for dinner. Surf and turf let's say...fell asleep before the planned ice cream. So we'll punt that to tomorrow #rufflife

I remember OPTING to take typing in HS. Was warned it would bring my GPA down bc it wasn't an honors class. That was terrible advice. It's a necessary skill! That I only appreciated at the time bc my mom had worked as an executive secretary.
I wonder if students today would be less likely to lean on AI for writing assignments if schools had made sure they could touch-type (at least 60wpm) before having them submit all their assignments online. 1/🧵

Saw a meme of GenZ baffled by how pre-internet travel worked, and realized we’ve crossed an enshittification threshold where IRL services that once seemed outdated, like travel agents, now seem luxurious: “You meet with a human expert who plans out your whole trip with you” sounds incredible now tbh
You guys are never gonna believe this, but going to a brick-and-mortar running store and getting sized by employees who know what they're doing and can recommend brands and models for you is a WAY better strategy than Googling "Nike running shoes" and buying whatever's on sale
