“Intersex” is the “I” in LGBTQIA.

Learned a lot, watching this.

I've been checking the source of quotes for my forthcoming book, and the performance of Gemini is extraordinary. I paste the quote into Google, and Gemini will barge in with the wrong answer over and over again. It's not an occasional thing - it's reliably wrong. Very odd.
Twice in the last week I've pasted a quotation into Google to check the source, and Gemini has barged in with the wrong answer. CS Lewis quote from The Seeing Eye (1967) was placed in The Screwtape Letters (1942). Alfred Loftus quote (1857) attributed to Austen Layard (1849). Gemini 0/2.

James out here asking the important questions.
Would you rather eat one donut sized Gruffalo or a hundred Gruffalo sized donuts?

I love it when good things happen to lovely people. 😊🍩
…which is basically #1, if you don’t count the Gruffalo. 🤷

Me: I really should get the Glider into town more.

Also me: how many years would I get for throttling that middle aged man opposite me flicking through TikTok at full volume?

Someone in the thread pointed out this village is RIGHT next to a men's prison full of actual criminals - w a dedicated sex offender wing - & nobody's been so distressed by that they've had to stop litter picking

In checking this I discovered they're also next to a village called Horton Cum Studly.

Why does everything have to be so complicated?!?

Also why the fuck are we only getting post once a fortnight?!?

Just discovered @downrail.bsky.social is on bluesky! 😊
Feeling a bit attacked by Downpatrick heritage railway for having the trains of my teenage years. I'm too young to be a part of heritage. 😆

I remember these, too. And how they used to have signage stating with quasibiblical certainty

SEATS ARE NOT FOR FEET

I'm basically turning into everyone's Irish mammy whose only conversation is who is ill and who has died.

Only about 20 years before most Irish mammies become that.

Just heard another one of life's really good people died this week.

Frankie was the heart and soul of Coffee in the Wood in Collier's Wood. Through The Boy's little years she served coffee, babycinnos and reassurance that I wasn't fucking motherhood up. She will be so missed by everyone. 💔

10 year old sewing birthday party finished. It's amazing to see all the girls leave with skirts.

My hearing however is doing that weird thing it does when you've just left a gig. 😆

The world needs more whimsy.
Happy to see kids (and grown ups) can still drive the DLR with new stock.

I love how much the Trump loving right wing loyalists will be having a complete breakdown over this. 😆

I really wasn't prepared for the replies to this.

Yes, lots of awful things happen all the time.

Yes, America has gone down an awful road since 2016.

That doesn't take away from the fact 9-11 was objectively horrific. If you didn't find it so, that's on you.
Someone left their kids in the car with the windows down today in East Belfast. They were shouting random things at strangers.

Along with 6-7 one of the things they shouted was 9-11.

Which makes me realise that there's a whole generation who just don't get the all consuming horror of it.

Dismayed by defeat of the assisted dying bill. Nothing was won today – no new palliative care funding, no new disability support. And the suffering that brought this bill to parliament remains.

Having sat with my friend in the final hours of her life recently I am really struggling with the assisted dying discourse today.

Currently having Donut Squad read out loudly to me in a cafe.

He said bum sandwich loudly enough to startle a posh looking lady. 😆
