Woohoo! Day Two!

Today we meet the Dawn Tribes. Consisting of the Balam, Hatha, Hapil, Hearthbound, Kalaril, Kahaila, Nuwisha, Pumonca, Qualmi, and Qularil.

They represent the collective dissenting interests of Turtle Island and Abya Yala on the Council of Tribes.

Very excited to finally share the art I made to represent the Hearthbound tribe! You should get the book! Do it for the little toasted marshmallow. Do it for the little girl with 4 optical migraines at once. Do it for their absolutely exhausted adoptive mom
Digital painting of a very tired-looking black woman with several small cuts and scars, and muppet themed bandaids. She has her hair up with a bandana, and is wearing torn, repaired, and patched up practical clothes and a trans flag belt with a dagger on it. She's holding a white and ginger baby werewolf in a baby blanket on her hip. He's holding a teething toy and has a bandaged ankle and several small scars on his muzzle. He's also clinging to the woman's jacket, creating new tears with his little claws. On her other side is an agouti werewolf toddler clinging to her leg in a "hiding behind mom" way. She has 4 eyes where her right eye should be and she's wearing colorful "girly" accessories, including hair mascara, a bead bracelet that reads "FAYE", and claw caps. Both pups are wearing an anklet with bells on it and a charm of their Auspice glyph. Behind them is a shadow of 6 tentacles representing their patron spirit. Same image but close-up of the baby. The notch in his ear, the tiny scars all over his paws and face, and his sprained ankle hint at him not being able to regenerate like other Garou. He's wearing a neck bandana with the Hearthbound glyph on it and the mom has a patch with the same glyph on her jacket. His anklet charm is the Galliard glyph Same image but close-up of the werewolf toddler. She has her tail tucked and her ears splayed. She's looking up at her mom with all 5 of her eyes and clinging to her leg with her hands flat and her fingers spread out to avoid scratching her. The charm on her anklet is the Philodox glyph Same image but close-up of the woman. Her hair is a bit messy and she has a very tired but still kind and patient look on her face. She has a visible Adam's apple (in case the trans flag belt wasn't clear enough). A patch on her jacket reads "I'm not tired". The fresh cut on her cheek, the scars on her face and neck, the tears in her clothes, and the bags under her eyes all hint at how difficult it is to raise Crinos born Garou pups

laken riley deserved better than for her name to become synonymous with an ethnic cleansing effort. all of them do.

hard to think of a single piece of legislation named after a victim that did not entail making the carceral system more punitive, or that entailed investing in non-carceral preventative and supportive resources.

You only matter as a victim if you are useful to the carceral system and its narratives.

The packs must move across a burning country to find young Sven. The country burns, banes crawl nearly everywhere, the Weaver draws the Cyber Realm into the Penumbra, and Gaia dies around them.

Discord finally confirmed for real when they're rolling out age verification service-wide (tomorrow) and I've not seen a single person make a peep about it
Safer for Teens, Same Discord for Adults
We’re launching a revamped, privacy-focused age assurance solution including methods that won’t require an ID or selfie. Here’s how it works.

He cooked Ed Sheeran on IG
macklemore Follow ••• 5/12 Ed was in a fucked up position. He knew it. His typical apolitical stance was being challenged in a way it never had been before. He told me that the words "Free Palestine" and the image of the Palestinian flag were hurtful to a lot of people he spoke with. I told him that if those words were more offensive than tens of thousands of Palestinian children being killed by Israel, then there was a fundamental disconnect between where those people stood and where I stood. But he couldn't get past his public facing, "I don't take sides."

Another look at old school D&D art vs 5e art. Check out this 2e Sahuagin that is both goofy and pretty sick. I love how much personality the art gives this guy.

The 5e art isn't bad, but it just kind of suffers from the glossy sameness that is seemingly the 5e house style.
A goofy fish man with a spear and large, webbed feet. It's mouth and face is that of a freaky frog. A generic fishman holding a wooden spear.

Having someone know intellectually that Call of Cthulhu is a horror game but suddenly realizing horror game stuff is happening in real time (with a mix of joy and shock) is a great feeling as a GM
