Apparently the vice president doesn't think African American women, who were born in the United States, should be in this country.

Someone should ask him why.

These ads are…something, and you should watch them (and they’re pretty painful tbh).
judging just by what i have seen in brief snaps on the TL today, republicans are catastrophically unprepared for what’s going to be coming at them
Republican attack ad: "This Democrat loves transgender surgeries for minors"

Democratic attack ad: "This worthless sack of shit let a pedophile walk free and called you a stupid asshole"

In normal times this would be the story of the decade.
Extraordinary for any American president: Trump offered to sell weapons to Xi Jinping of China. That was revealed by David Perdue, US ambassador. Trump is withholding a $14 billion arms package to Taiwan approved by Congress. China aids Iran and Russia. Gift link: www.nytimes.com/2026/09/27/u...

Uh so what happens when people take out loans, major in Trump Studies, and then switch majors?
Trump is banning students majoring in degrees that don’t make enough money from taking out college loans. Degrees for social work, art, religious studies, teaching aides, and music will be hit the hardest. trib.al/kQdKbY1

This times infinity.
When they get back in power, Democrats need to go all-in on higher education.

We need a campaign of reinvestment in public universities across the country that makes the Morrill Land-Grant Act look like nothing by comparison *and* a GI Bill of Rights-style program of tuition grants.

This. The party that could have prevented this ghoulishness enthusiastically embraced and endorsed it, and now that people are pissed, is trying to pretend to be upset about (checks notes) the thing they caused to happen.
Vought is breaking the law but he is not “going rogue.” At his confirmation hearings, Vought told Republicans he would do this and they voted for him anyway. If they want to stop him, they still can via impeachment. They won’t.
Congress funded the CDC's Alzheimer's work, the sickle cell and epilepsy data programs and a rape prevention unit, and Vought simply will not release the money. Grassley told him to his face he lacks the authority. The pocket rescission alone took 4.9 billion.
