Last night I shot the Bubble Nebula (Sh2-162, NGC 7635), for a total exposure of 53x60s.
Last night I shot the Firework Galaxy, and a neighboring star cluster. The Fireworks Galaxy (NGC 6946) is a galaxy about 25.2 million light years from us. The star cluster, NGC 6939, is in our Milkyway galaxy and is just 4,000 light years away. This is only a 45x60s exposure, so it's a little noisy.

The Iris Nebula. What we are seeing is a new star, born in that dust cloud, pushing the cloud away with it's solar winds, letting us see inside the cloud. The blue is the reflected light from the new star.

Last night, I got a couple hours (102x90s) on the West Veil Nebula (NGC 6960, Caldwell 34). It is part of the Cygnus Loop, a supernova remnant. Here it is with and without the stars.

First Pass on the Owl Nebula (M 97) and the Surfboard Galaxy (M 108). This time of year, I was only able to get about an hour and a half of usable dark (00:25-01:56 PST). I'm hoping to get another hour an half Tuesday night, but then it is just rain, rain, and more rain.

Last night, I reshot Bode's Galaxy (M 81) and the Cigar Galaxy (M 82). Trying a couple different processes for cleaning up the images.

Final edit of NGC 1499, for this year. I think this is as good as I can get it. The nebula is too noisy, but think only more exposure time will fix that. Sadly, the weather has given a very firm, "no," to more astro time.

I got my new astro camera early in October, but we have not had a clear night.... until last night. The weather was not perfect, though. I only 3hrs total exposure (123x90s). It's been so long, I've forgotten my processing process.

@samreich.bsky.social I have a Game Changer's idea. Brennan and the D20 crew do a LARP. The party has beaten the BBEG and are fighting their way out of the dungeon. They (andNPCs) can steal other players treasure by getting them to break character. LARPing with Breaking News scoring.
