🎺 NEW BOOK! 🎺
Coming this October, my first full-length ghost novella, Hobbe's Folly.
Impressed, slightly intimidated and after a few drinks, probably trying to shag me.
Would 20 y/o you be impressed or disappointed by you today?

Police believe the thieves were actually after copies of HOBBE’S FOLLY, the sensational and hotly-anticipated ghost story to be released in just a few week’s time. “Oh well, this one will do for loo paper and keeping the table legs steady while we wait”, a gang member told me exclusively.

Have just remembered last night's dream, that the apocalypse had actually happened (thanks Channel 4), and everyone was going "and Lisa Nandy's done NOTHING about it."

This is in the next Tommy Wildeblood book - the practice was cited as *fact* by the senior police officer in charge of the investigation into the brutal murders of several gay men in the late 1980s.

If anyone‘s interested, today’s also the anniversary of the very first Big Issue being published. The tenth birthday celebrations we spent ages organising in 2001 went really well, thanks.

Adding to the 1066 discourse by pointing out that in your actual Hastings, Norman Road is the one with the chi-chi restaurants, galleries and arts cinema on it, and Saxon Street is the one where they took away the phone box because of the guy selling heroin from it.

I quite like them being called "London's Metropolitan Police". It makes them sound like they're a bit well-groomed and louche, doused in Tom Ford, wear their uniforms better than those grunts in the other forces.
Breaking news: London's Metropolitan Police has expanded an investigation into the financing of Reform UK after an undercover TV sting operation that alleged the rightwing populist party sought illegal funding from overseas ft.trib.al/b7F4Acf

Please please please can we have a moratorium on the phrase "breaks his silence"? It's been five days, two of which he was in custody for. He's hardly June and Jennifer Gibbons.

Standards Commissioner took the chance to have a nice holiday and is returning to work absolutely full of beans and ready to go.
This morning the website of Parliament’s standards commissioner has been updated to confirm that his investigation is no longer suspended
Nigel Farage has won Clacton by-election, which was boycotted by other major Westminster parties

The contest was triggered when the Reform UK leader resigned as an MP while under investigation for £5m gift he didn't declare

Now he’s been re-elected, that parliamentary investigation will resume

Regret to say I will not be able to attend work today as Essex Police have informed me there is a credible threat of me looking very silly. I think this result speaks for itself.

Genuinely searing indictment of the state of our media that I had to go all the way to the local press to find the traditional photo of A-level students unbound by gravity - 1/2
