When people talk about AI breaking out of guardrails and blame the AI for it, they’re forgetting something. Humans make the guardrails. Humans are responsible when AI acts unexpectedly. Had there been careful and thorough thought of what could go wrong, this may have been avoided.

If I were to find another point in time that relates to the current AI situation, it would be the space race. Because we were so focused on the end goal, astronauts burned alive in a capsule. Things went wrong. Had we thought through processes & equipment instead, bad things could’ve been avoided.

People talk about AI taking jobs. There have been other periods in time where tech has meant jobs were reduced: elimination of switchboards to connect calls, the Industrial Revolution, manufacturing changes (fewer things made by hand). Progress means making a shift to new roles.

Everyone is concerned about AI data centers. In doing this, they’re ignoring the fact that CISA is underfunded & understaffed, our water systems aren’t protected, our healthcare system is running on outdated machines and software, making us more vulnerable to cyberattacks.

What I really don’t like is people who don’t understand how AI works/how companies work on it claim to be “AI experts.” There’s no such thing. The doomsday claim by that researcher? It’s all for 15 min of fame. He only worked on a part of AI, not the entire process. AI companies don’t want rogue AI

In the case of Lindsay Clancy, there’s one thing people aren’t talking about. Her ex-husband. He kept getting her pregnant even though she was showing signs of needing help after having her first child. He did NOTHING - he left her to take care of kids while he was constantly gone. No support. Shame

Last Pass has had a 2nd breach recently. Password managers can help promote strong passwords as long as you remember the “master” password. I highly recommend passkeys instead. Microsoft’s Authenticator app is my go to. Unless someone has your phone and is able to access the app…no go.

Paraguay played dirty against France but this time finally got sent packing. Uzbekistani referee Ilgiz Tantashev did the same thing as the ref in the game against Germany: ignored the punches, shoves, trips & grabs & rewarded the fake injuries. Both refs and the VR people need to be banned for life.

Head ref Jalal Jayed in Germany World Cup game needs to go. Paraguay is playing dirty and he incorrectly recalled a winning German goal as well as giving out yellow cards liberally to Germany even though it’s Paraguay who fouled . Even the broadcasters said there was no foul with the goal.

If you use cybersecurity company REDLattice, STOP. Find a new company. REDLattice is owned by AE Industrial Partners, who also own Paragon Solutions, who manufactures spyware (Graphite) that is used by ICE on encrypted platforms to target Americans at will. No warrant. No oversight.

With the cyberattack on Stryker, the media likes to point the blame at Microsoft’s Intune, when in reality, a Stryker employee clicked a link or followed instructions that allowed the attacker to gain access (phishing or spear phishing)by stealing their credentials. So it is all on Stryker for this.

Here we go again with the non-existent “weapons of mass destruction.” History is repeating itself.

I am proud of Anthropic for not backing down on preventing DoD from having full access to its AI. Anthropic said its tech couldn’t be used for domestic surveillance or for fully autonomous weapons. Pentagon wanted unrestricted use.

In case anyone is wondering how safe we are from cyberattacks…we are not. Madhu Gottumukkala, the now former director of CISA, shared sensitive government files to a public version of ChatGPT. An automatic security alert was issued because he broke protocols embedded in the system.

Boycott the SOTU! Let’s make the ratings so bad that it drives someone crazy.

Les Wexner was all too happy to throw his wife and admin under the bus, along with a lot of “I don’t recall” replies. He knew what was going on. He funded it. He needs to be put on trial and jailed.

Please join me in my continuing boycott of Target. They are allowing ICE to use their parking lots for staging and to go after shoppers. We must force a decline in revenue for them.

IMO, Greenland should end the US military base lease and kick them out and replace them with a European NATO force, and they should bar all people from the US from entering the country. They should never give away mineral rights.

Cutting flights and cancelling SNAP cannot be blamed on the government shutdown. The last shutdown, under the same leadership, did not cancel any programs, reduce flights or fire federal workers. It’s all a publicity stunt.

Dick Cheney, a war criminal, who got Halliburton defense contracts while being CEO and involved in conflicts of interest and benefiting from government contracts during the Iraq War. Halliburton was involved in bribery and overcharging the U.S. government for services. Remember this.

Parents: If your child’s school is showing videos from Prager University, you need to use legal means to have it stopped. It whitewashes history and spreads disinformation. Please don’t allow your child’s teacher to use materials that inaccurately modify history.

In case you were wondering, here are the companies ICE is using in tech part of their operations:
Magnet Forensics-Graykey
Panamerica Computers
Clearview AI
Paragon-phone spyware
Palantir

The jobs report put out today is not accurate. Tech companies are letting people go in the thousands. Yesterday, one of them laid off 9,000 tech workers. The reason? Capitalism. Fewer salaries to pay means more money for those at the top. 😡

Judges need to sue Leavitt and whoever else says anything about the judiciary that ends up with them being targeted. Free speech has its limitations and comments like this need consequences in the form of cease and desist and then prison if not obeyed.
