Jim Henson would have been 90 (yup, you read that right: NINETY) years old today. You can celebrate his life by celebrating creativity, diversity, peace, imagination, and silliness.

Tomorrow (19th September) is #TalkLikeAPirateDay and your annual reminder that when we talk the way we talk when we're talking like a pirate, it's because of a film that was based on a book, inspired by an earlier book, inspired by a real life pirate from #Orkney!

“Lost media” no longer! I finally got permission to upload “AL’S BRAIN,” an 11-minute educational 3-D film attraction which ran at the Orange County and Western Washington fairs, and hasn’t been seen publicly since 2009. You can watch the whole thing here: youtu.be/2xujU87ZHt4

Doc's gym in Smash Ultimate is now the roof of Arsenal Gear.

Points for style: the relative character levels are canon.

This is a thoughtful take on MGS4, and it’s worth your time to read. I also appreciate the shoutout to “Monstrous Births,” my MGS4 analysis written some time ago.
I'm moving cross country in a few days so I regrettably couldn't participate in any review process for the Master Collection vol 2. Glad cool folks are hitting it from good angles.

For MGS4: I wrote my own thoughts in June. It's a ~fascinating game that puts every piece of the canon into a blender.

You won't catch me posting matrix or terminator bits in relation to real-world AI deployment because that would constitute a reproduction and endorsement of the foundational marketing lie that these technologies ought to be conceived of as comparable to the "thinking machine" science fiction premise
