Finally watched this. Olivia Colman and Jessie Buckley are wonderful, as are the whole ensemble of comic actors who support them. Timothy Spall as the overbearing father is a dramatic scene stealer. The film takes some liberties with the real story, but it's still a joyous, potty-mouthed journey.

Took some me time yesterday and visited Katoomba. Three Sisters looking fab as always. Now I feel like I need a day to recover from my day of adventure.

Reread Jane Austen's 'Emma' and surprised to find myself identifying most with John Knightley this time. I don't want to leave my house either. Think I've entered my hermit phase.

Another great script from Jack Thorne. Not a romance, as such, as the two leads are rarely together. More a look at relationships - parents, friends, colleagues (her sisters). Also raises questions of faith and service. The entire ensemble cast is outstanding.

The Boss picked up a new outfit at the International Dog Day Fest on the weekend. She is not a fan. Apparently, dino fab is not her cup of tea after all. The sulking says it all.

Submitted a piece to a publisher today. They don't issue rejection notices, so if I hear nothing in 6 weeks I can take that as rejection. I've marked it on my calendar. First time I've ever made an appointment with rejection.
