I think life would be nicer if friends did more letter-style *correspondence* but i also appreciate active and thriving group texts. If only we all wrote to each other in the group texts like 19th century pets high on absinthe and the idea that everything we think is important

several times a day i pull my phone out of my pocket and don't know why. the muscle memory is there, the urge to seek the hit of connection, or entertainment, but every app is so ruined, so clogged with slop and ads, that i put my phone back in my pocket and stay in the real world.

everything about modern car and road design teaches you to dehumanize other drivers and view them as competition rather than community. car brain is anathema to leftism, prove me wrong.
A whole lot of people with otherwise progressive views suddenly get real mad when you talk about doing anything at all to address the scourge of speeding drivers killing people
