Good news out of D.C.: The Trump-backed Clarity Act failed in the Senate. Yesterday a coalition of 15 AGs and I came out against the bill because it would make it harder to stop cryptocurrency fraud. I’m going to keep fighting to protect Minnesotans from crypto scams. www.yahoo.com/news/politic...
Clarity Act Stalls in Senate as Crypto Bill Fails to Clear Key Vote
The crypto market structure bill failed to receive enough votes to advance in the Senate.

It’s so absurd that it’s hard to believe: a 63-year-old Michigan coal plant was set to shut down. The plant owners, the community, and defenders of the environment all agreed it should close. But on the eve of the plant’s closure, the Trump administration ordered the owners to keep it open.

I've said all along that Christian Castro would face justice in Minnesota. And now that he’s finally turned himself in in Texas, he soon will. www.mprnews.org/story/2026/0...
ICE officer charged with lying about shooting turns himself in to feds, AP source says
The federal charges follow Castro's release from jail last week after Texas’ governor refused to immediately sign an extradition warrant to hand him over to Minnesota authorities, who have charged him...

The fatal shooting in the Loring Park neighborhood is horrifying. My deepest thoughts are with those killed and hurt, including the police officers injured. I pray for their quick recovery. I fully support responding law enforcement and my office will help in all the ways possible.

My office works hard to enforce Minnesota's lending laws and help homeowners afford their lives. Our settlement with Unlock Partnership Solutions will see them stop offering predatory home loans and pay $1M to homeowners who were taken advantage of. www.ag.state.mn.us/Office/Commu...
Attorney General Ellison secures compliance and nearly $1M in relief for Minnesotans harmed by unlawful mortgage lending
Arizona-based fintech company Unlock Partnership Solutions sold ‘home equity agreements’ that advanced money for future repayment, secured by borrowers’ homes

Big news: The coalition of Attorneys General fighting the dangerous Paramount / WB merger has won a temporary restraining order, meaning that the merger is blocked for the duration of our litigation.

But we aren't stopping there. We're going to keep pushing to block this costly merger permanently.

Today, I filed a lawsuit to halt the sale of Loon vapes in Minnesota.

State law bans e-cigarettes designed to appeal to kids. With flavors like Cotton Candy and Mountain Dude, Loon is in clear violation of that law.

I will not let corporations like Loon prey on our children.

I was proud to facilitate the mediation process that led to these agreements between the University of Minnesota, the University of Minnesota Physicians, and Fairview.
The U and Fairview finally have a deal, and it drops ‘U of M’ from their biggest hospital’s name
Forthcoming name change at University of Minnesota Medical Center in Minneapolis shows tension at the heart of a more limited partnership.

Happy Pride Month, Minnesota!

The deck is stacked against young people online. Unfortunately, the KIDS Act protects Big Tech instead of our children. I will keep working with my fellow AGs to stand up to social media companies that are trying to turn a profit by harming our children.

George Floyd, his family, and the people of Minnesota changed history. Together, we showed no one is above the law — and no one is beneath it.

This Memorial Day, we remember all of the brave Americans who made the ultimate sacrifice.

Today, we are holding them and their families in our prayers and gratitude.

Last week, I held a forum to discuss the future of HCMC, a flagship health care institution for MN.

Hear from a community member sharing about the importance of HCMC, who provided life-saving care for his sister in law when she suffered a traumatic brain injury.

Exciting news! Our bill, the MAP Act, passed in both the House and Senate and is headed to the Governor's desk to be signed into law.

This will give my office more resources to fight fraud and protect vulnerable Minnesotans.

Aimee Bock has received the sentence she deserves.

I thank federal prosecutors for their years of hard work to hold fraudster-in-chief Bock and the other fraudsters accountable and congratulate them on this outcome. Justice has been done.

For years, I've been fighting to hold Big Oil accountable for deceiving consumers. They're scared, so they ran to Trump for help. Now Trump is suing MN to try to stop our lawsuit.

Minnesotans deserve their day in court and we'll keep fighting for it.
Minnesota should have its day in court with Big Oil • Minnesota Reformer
The Trump administration is attempting to keep our taxpayers shouldering the climate costs that Big Oil companies racked up, while blocking our state from having its day in court.

Minnesota Valley threatened to shut off the power for a Minnesotan who requires life-sustaining medical equipment. This was as cruel as it was unlawful.

We went to court after hours, and we won.

I will not allow any business to put their profit before Minnesotans’ survival.

Nobody is above the law, including ICE agents. The State of Minnesota must hold people accountable for violating the law and for harming Minnesotans. I support the filing of these charges, and I am working closely with @hennepinatty.bsky.social Moriarty to ensure we reach a just outcome here.

My Medicaid Fraud Control Unit recently seized $1.2 million from someone we convicted of defrauding Medicaid. Now, we're going after another $650,000 in the fraudster's bank account. I will continue to aggressively prosecute Medicaid fraud and fight to recover stolen tax dollars.
Medicaid fraudster wants to shield bank account from prosecutors
A convicted fraudster is fighting to keep more than half-a-million dollars in a business account off limits as Minnesota tries to recover stolen Medicaid funds.
